Supported CLI agents

On a fresh install WebMux writes launch configurations for nine CLIs. They are ordinary configurations you can edit or delete; WebMux does not install or sign in to any CLI, and each CLI runs with the service user's permissions, accounts and configuration.

Notes

  • Persistent PTY terminal: a browser disconnect does not end the process, and you can reconnect and replay the buffer; a service restart ends the session.
  • Hybrid sessions switch between terminal and chat views; the other six use the terminal view, and offering an ACP interface alone does not make a CLI adapted.
  • The presets for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini and OpenCode auto-approve tool calls, and the Codex preset also disables its sandbox; remove those arguments in settings to approve each step.
  • Running, idle and waiting states use generic terminal heuristics; specific question, permission and completion alerts depend on the CLI's structured events, OSC notifications or BEL.
